Best Gua Sha Tools to Use After a Long Day at Work

After a long day at work, one of my favorite things to do is to get bruised:-) Gua Sha’s traditional Chinese technique has been gaining a lot of steam globally over the past year or so. Many more people are interested in this alternative treatment to pain and disease. Is it the next big thing when it comes to holistic medicine? Who knows!? All I know is that says when I get it done, the next day is that much better.

How To Use Gua Sha to Relax

The very mention of scraping my make some people queezy and rightfully so. Gua Sha, if done right, leaves nice red marks on the top layers of your skin and actually looks cool to me…but for some, it’s weird. Here are a few steps on how to relax using the awesome art of Gua Sha.

1: Use the Right Oils: There are a ton of oils on the market today but I like ones that have coconut oil in them.

2: Accept the Pain: There’s going to be pian during the scraping but the benefits outweigh the negatives there.

3: Have a Glass of Wine: To my knowledge, there have been no scientific studies done showing the benefit of having a glass of wine before getting scraped….but trust me…it works:-)

4: Use Different Tools for Different Parts of Your Body: Most Gua Sha and IASTM sets come with plenty of tools to cover every inch of your body. Each one has it’s own shape to contour every turn and crevice.
